Grand Opening of Celia’s Closet

You know that friend of yours who always seems to choose the right accessories, whether it’s for her home or wardrobe? Her guest soaps smell like heaven, all of her dishes match, she always has the latest handbag and dresses impeccably. Well, we think we have finally stumbled upon her secret.

Walking into Julian Gifts in Roscoe Village, with it’s neat shelves lined row after row with amazing European finds, is like stepping inside a life-size jewelry box. Bejeweled picture frames, Murano glass and gold belt buckles sparkle from every angle. The scent from the candles, soaps and sachets is reminiscent of some meadow in the South of France (well, what we imagine a meadow in the South of France smells like anyway). The atmosphere of the shop casts a girly spell on you that makes it nearly impossible to walk out without a treasure of your own.

And, as if this store wasn’t amazing enough, on February 11 they’ll be introducing their new consignment concept, “Celia’s Closet.” The owner, Maria Alfaro-Brooks, is taking personal care to make sure that her second hand goods are the best of the best. If you decide to bring in some of your own duds to try to resell, Maria will go through them and select pieces she feels will compliment her current selection. In return, you will get half of what she sells your item for. It’s a great way to clean out your closet and make some extra cash.

The grand opening of Celia’s Closet is a great time to bring in items to resell, but will also be a great night to shop and restock your closet. From 6pm-9pm, stop by with your girlfriends for some wine, treats and of course, shopping! Don’t forget to bring along your Deal & Discount for 20% off your purchase.

What: Grand Opening of Celia’s Closet
Where: Julian Gifts/Celia’s Closet, 2207 W. Roscoe
When: Wednesday, February 11, 6pm-9pm

I love shopping in Roscoe Village and now there’s another reason to visit this adorable neighborhood. Celia’s Closet has beautiful consignment items at unbelievable prices. I scored a cashmere sweater for $29.00 and a designer handbag for $69.00. Moreover, the ambience of the shop is so incredible that you’ll want to linger forever.
